Our History

KCB Insurance Agency Ltd a fully-fledged subsidiary of Kenya Commercial Bank Ltd commenced business in 2010 as an insurance agent for all classes of insurance business, Claims advisers and Risk management consultants.

The Agency is licensed under the Insurance Act to offer both life and non-life insurance products and services and has partnered with leading & reputable Insurance companies in the market to ensure that we provide our customers with optimal insurance solutions and unmatched service to meet their expectations. Our mandate include the following:-

  • Designing relevant and appropriate Insurance solutions for Retail Clients, Institutions, Companies, Micro enterprises, Small and medium enterprises, farmers and other special groups.
  • Negotiating competitive insurance packages for our customers.
  • Claims management services; Ensuring efficient processing and settlement of claims to reduce exposure to customers and the Bank.
  • Risk management and professional insurance advisory services.
  • Vetting insurance companies to ensure our customers’ insurable risks are placed with financially stable Insurance companies with an excellent claims settlement track record.

KCB Insurance currently has a staff compliment of 172 dedicated Insurance staff comprising of Management, Bancassurance Officers and Bancassurance Sales Representatives. Our integrated technology offers the capability to effectively and efficiently distribute a wide range of Insurance products to diverse market segments of Insurance Consumers across all KCB branches countrywide.

All our products are comprehensively packaged with a wide scope of cover substantially reducing policy exclusions, strived to achieve optimal product simplicity, strengthened our footprint by progressively ensuring easy and convenient access to our services across the KCB Kenya branch network and Included value-add services under various products such as free motor valuations, credit facilities at healthcare providers and competitively priced IPF loans to ease premium payment.
